Project description
The under-representation of women in Informatics is a persisting issue, mostly in Western societies. Previous studies show that gender differences in Informatics attitudes and performance can be found as early as in primary school children. Stereotypes (about both gender roles and Informatics) might deepen this gap, by lowering girls' motivation. The project aims to contribute to the understanding of the gender gap in Informatics in the 0-18 age range, by disentangling the role of factors that contribute to the phenomena.
