Aim
This course explores the opportunities and advantages of developing large-scale research infrastructures, with a strong focus on European Union (EU) funding programs and international cooperation such as ESFRI (European Strategy Forum on Research Infrastructures) and EOSC (European Open Science Cloud). The course also highlights the role of early-career researchers in contributing to research infrastructures with a concrete case study provided by ELIXIR, the ESFRI infrastructure for life science data.
