Outgoing
Co-tutelles are agreements to carry out part of your project activities abroad for at least 6 months (including the 3 months abroad mandatory for BMCS)
A co-tutelle allows you to have a double degree at the end of your doctoral program, one by UNIPD and one by the international hosting institution; this increases the value of your degree and your cv. The outgoing cotutelle process is synthesized in the following picture:
Incoming
It is advisable to start the procedure as soon as possible. The six-month visit to Padua should avoid the months from June to October when most mandatory classes are not scheduled.
You can ask that some courses taken at your home university be acknowledged as part of the BMCS learning obligations; the Teaching Committee will consider the request. To submit the request, please fill out this form before your arrival in Padova. This form is specific to the BMCS doctoral course and must be sent to the BMCS secretariat.
More information about incoming and outgoing cotutelle, plus UNIPD forms, are available on the dedicated UNIPD page.
